Model evaluation for the viability of urban transformation in the AMB

Methodological proposal to define the information bases and the appropriate parameters to build a model for evaluating the viability of urban transformation, which addresses some cases that occur to the consolidated core of the AMB and allows to obtain some measures for evaluate the viability or not of the actions in study, towards the decision making in the processes of modification or revision of the planning or in the urban actions.

The field of study of this work contemplates the whole municipality focusing on the analysis in residential areas, as well as the new development sectors of the city. To recognize the characteristics of the built park, we studied how residential use is distributed in the built fabric of the municipality, basically, based on the Cadastre database.
The study of the licenses of major works must allow to obtain the pattern of the transformations that have taken place in the city in the last 12 years and to quantify the changes of the profile of the residential building that is taking place in the various areas. The starting point is the registration of the works licenses provided by the Mataró Town Hall, corresponding to the files processed between 2000 and 2012.

Study of the housing potential in the central area of the consolidated urban land of Sant Cugat del Vallès

It develops a methodology to systematise urban transformation dynamics in recent years to consolidated urban land, identifies patterns and profiles of transformation actions (construction of vacant plots, reconstruction of underground buildings, transformations of use, replacement of obsolete buildings, etc). It establishes a diagnosis and quantification of the potential of housing differentiated by transformation profiles and at neighborhood level.
