• The configuration of the neighborhood, the supply of equipment and the design of public spaces are factors that influence the aspects of social cohesion.

• The social transformation of our neighborhoods becomes clear in the occupation of the public space, particularly the new neighbors.

• The use of the public space is multidimensional, depends on multiple factors that interact with each other to a different extent: gender, origin, type of migration project, paid work and age.

• Share everyday spaces facilitates the interaction and coexistence between people of different origins. The younger groups (boys, girls and teens) and women are the ones most likely to establish intercultural relationships.

• The strengthening of social cohesion is progressive, there are different degrees of social cohesion: segregation, coexistence, coexistence, integration.

• Social entities play a key role as a support for coexistence in the neighborhood, developing different activities and programs that promote coexistence and mutual knowledge.

• One of the main causes of the conflicts that are manifested in the public space between people or social groups of different cultures is the lack of mutual knowledge that generates mistrust and racist attitudes on the part of some groups or people

• In this study it has been found that in activities to promote cohesion, promoted by the administration or associations, women are more likely to share activities with other women of different origins, generating trusted and helpful relationships.
