Modelling of the grandstands of the Portal de la Pau in Barcelona, in STL format, prior to their rehabilitation. The models made have to allow reconstruction, using a 3D printer, in the event of damage occurring during the process of dismantling and refurbishment of the grandstands.

The grandstands have been modelled to obtain a closed model suitable for printing using a 3D printer: 

  • Sea Tribune Model (9M polygons)
  • Mountain Tribune Model (10M polygons)

   

3D Survey of Grandstands | December 2023 

Heritage survey of the Portal de la Pau grandstands in Barcelona, prior to their refurbishment. Massive data capture was carried out by combining a TLS terrestrial laser scanner and photogrammetry with a colour calibrator.

The TLS (Terrestrial Laser Scan) survey was carried out using a FARO Focus 330x HDR terrestrial laser scanner between 4 and 5 December 2023. A total of 38 positions were taken, distributed as follows: 

  • 19 positions Sea Tribune
  • 19 positions Mountain Tribune


The photogrammetric survey was carried out using a SONY alpha-full-frame II camera calibrated by applying a colour chart, between 4 and 5 December 2023. A total of 2,672 photographs were taken, distributed as follows:

  • 1347 positions in the Sea Tribune
  • 1325 positions Mo Grandstandntaña

The survey has been georeferenced on the previous model carried out in April 2011, which has allowed a raster planimetry at 5mm resolution to be carried out.
