This research aims to develop a system that should serve to know the socio-spatial characteristics of the residential space in different neighborhoods and sectors of the city. It is a question of building an array of geospatial information that includes sociodemographic, socioeconomic, urban planning and housing status, sufficient to establish a differentiation measure relative to the degree of residential vulnerability of some neighborhoods with respect to, in order to seek balance measures between them. It is based on the data of the general statistics complemented with the data of the city council as well as other entities, which provide a very accurate information of the city.

The proposal is an advance in the effort to operationalize the concept of vulnerability and make it measurable and analytical. With this objective, the AVU elaborates a proposal for dimensionalization of the concept that includes four major dimensions or basic axes: sociodemographic, socio-economic, residential and, finally, subjective vulnerability.
