The complexity of studying heritage buildings has become a topic of academic study that has resulted in proven techniques maintained over the years. New requirements for sustainability, security, conservation, and dissemination, along with advances in building digitization, open the doors to new technological perspectives on heritage.
Researchers from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia, using work developed by the VIMAC group of the QURBIS research group, REARQ-UPC, in conjunction with the PAAD research group at RWTH Aachen University, will explain the new lines of research opening up for the study of historical buildings through the use of simulations and new technologies.
