GIS technical support to the Martorell City Council

With the aim of mapping the necessary indicators of the Decree of the Law on Neighbourhoods (2022), we have been organising and assembling the cartography in a GIS environment and the analysis and territorial diagnosis of the Buenos Aires and Verge del Carme neighbourhoods of the city of Martorell.

The cartographic information has been reviewed, ordered and structured to prepare a unified working environment with basic layers. Subsequently, thematic maps have been produced based on the indicators established in the decree: urban and building conditions, socio-economic vulnerability, accessibility to services, environmental quality... to identify patterns and territorial relationships by crossing various sources of information (register, cadastre, urban planning, social services, mobility...).

Finally, the support has been completed with a training capsule for the dissemination of applied knowledge.
